Under the AAMT's Constitution, there are currently three classes of membership;

• Ordinary Members
• Associate Members
• Life Members

Remedial Massage Therapists and Massage Therapists are Ordinary Members of AAMT, while Students are Associate Members.

Individuals are eligible to become Ordinary Members of the Association if they are over 18 years of age and completed a course of study in massage therapy recognised by the National Board of Directors.

Individuals are eligible to become Associate Members if they are enrolled in a course of study in massage therapy as stipulated under the types of membership recognised by the National Board of Directors.
